Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 5, 2026
Buggy is designed to keep the baby record on your device. This policy separates that record from the limited information processed for purchases, optional access verification, website analytics, and App Store redirects.
1. Baby records stored on your device
- Baby profiles, activity logs, growth measurements, notes, custom activities, app preferences, and selected photos are stored locally on your device.
- Buggy does not require a Buggy account and does not upload the baby record to a Buggy cloud database.
- Buggy does not provide live cross-device sync. Your operating system or device settings may separately include app data in a device backup.
2. Purchases and access checks
Apple processes App Store purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. Buggy uses RevenueCat to present purchase options, check subscription or purchase access, and restore prior purchases. RevenueCat may process an app user identifier and purchase or entitlement information under its own privacy terms.
If you choose the legacy-access verification flow, Buggy may send a RevenueCat app user identifier and App Store receipt to a Buggy endpoint hosted by Cloudflare. That information is used to check whether an earlier purchase qualifies for access. Purchases, restores, and access checks require a network connection in some circumstances.
3. Website analytics and App Store redirects
This website uses Vercel Analytics and Umami to understand aggregate page traffic and improve the site. Those providers may process ordinary technical request information under their own policies.
When you use a Buggy App Store button, our redirect records the campaign source, medium, campaign name, and referring page in hosting logs before sending you to Apple. These values help us understand which Buggy pages lead to App Store visits.
4. Exports and information you share
You can generate CSV or PDF exports and choose where to save or share them. Once an export leaves Buggy, the destination you select controls that copy. Deleting information in the app does not remove copies you exported, shared, or retained in a device backup.
5. Retention and deletion
The baby record remains in the app's local storage until you delete information or remove the app, subject to your device and backup behavior. Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Vercel, and Umami retain information they process according to their respective policies and legal obligations.
6. Third-party services
Limited information may be processed by:
- Apple, for the App Store and in-app purchases
- RevenueCat, for purchase options, entitlement checks, and restores
- Cloudflare, for the optional legacy-access verification endpoint
- Vercel, for website hosting, analytics, and redirect logs
- Umami, for website analytics
Each provider's own terms and privacy notice govern its processing.
7. Children's privacy
Buggy is intended for parents and guardians to organize child-care information. It is not directed to children to use independently.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app, website, or providers change. The effective date above identifies the latest version posted here.
